After reinstalling, now it freezes constantly, even when not in use. Roughly every 5 seconds, the window freezes, grays out, and gives a "not responding" message--just as before. But it happens constantly without me even doing anything in Outlook now. Outlook works best when it's up Fix Outlook Site to date. We recommend setting Windows Update to automatically download and install recommended updates.

Select Change, then choose Repair and click the Continue button. So for about the past month, my Outlook constantly freezes, the window grays out, and I get a "not responding" error message. I am not quite sure when this started, otherwise I would have rolled back updates and/or removed recently installed apps.

Give Outlook a few minutes to finish the process and it should start to work again. I decided to try and fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling. I also removed some old add-ins and an old, inactive account (but Outlook worked no problem with these for a long time).
